I fell in love with art during an art history class in college.  From that moment on, I wanted to be an artist, even though I wasn’t really good at drawing or creating art.  I struggled through the beginning courses and I learned how to draw and how to be an artist.  When I found art education, it became my passion.  How wonderful... becoming an art teacher meant that I could learn about art and share that learning with others.  I believe it is this that makes me such and excellent educator.  I know how it feels to want so badly to be an artist, and I learned how to draw, paint and think creatively.  Now that I am an art educator, I find there is a fine line between creating art and teaching art.  It all seems to feed into each other through a continuous movement.  I know for sure that my teaching makes me a better artist and that my art makes me a better educator.
